Dual-use technologies, with applications in both commercial and defense sectors, are playing an increasingly important role in driving innovation and sustainability. These technologies are being used to enhance operations efficiency, reduce energy consumption, increase communication capabilities and develop advanced materials. The use of dual-use technologies not only drives innovation and sustainability but also provides a bigger addressable market and ultimately attracting more investments.

IMDEX Asia Innovation Challenge 2023

The competition aims to showcase the latest and most innovative technologies, solutions, and ideas in the maritime defence and security industry. Existing commercial solutions that can be repurposed to include military applications will also be considered for submission. Participating startups will focus on the verticals highlighted in the exhibition, including Artificial Intelligence; Sustainability; Maintenance; Repair and Overhaul (MRO); Ship Operations; and Others.
